WELCOME TO THE NEW COURSE 2010-2011!!!

Hi,welcome back again. A new course starts. I hope you come full of energy to start again. Holidays have finished, and september is back. Don't be depressed!!! School can also be fun!!! School is not a synonym of boredom. I wish you go on visiting my blog and participating of it. Please send me your contributions. THE FINAL EFFORT!!!

Your last two months of school are very important for your future. Study and concentrate on your exams. Don't be foolish and don't leave things until the last minute. You already have the dates for the exams the the dead line to hand in the last project. Please do so, you know that to pass the course you need these conditions: to pass at least two terms, one of them has to be the third one and handing in all the essays and projects. If you don't pass the third term you'll have to resit the exam and this exam is an exam that consists of the whole course materials. So be ready for your last sprint and start running now!

PROJECTS

Pupils of 3rd of ESO are doing projects about English Speaking Countries. They are creating little films with photographs and recordings of their voices. They must include information about: geography, history, customs and traditions,important places to visit, population, economy and more. The maximum date to hand in the project will be on 4th of June. Remember this week you also have to hand in the class notebook.

23rd of April at INS of Camarles

Hi again! This year on Friday the 23rd of April we'll celebrate "Jornades de Sant Jordi" at school. As you know you have to choose among different activities to do this day. The English and French department this year have organised two sessions of cooking pancakes . To join the activity you have to form groups of four and bring the necessary material to cook. The teachers bring the ingredients and the pans.
Apart from this you know that this year there is a literary quiz in which you can participate writing in English or French. The best piece of writing will win a USB memory.So have a try!

SAINT GEORGE

Did you know that Saint George is also the patron of England? On the 23rd of April we'll celebrate once more Saint George, when girls give boys a book and boys give girls a rose as a symbol of the legend. Which is the legend of this day? I am sure you know the legend since you were little children, so have a go and tell me it in English. The best told will be put in the blog. What else do we celebrate this day? What happened with Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes on this day? That's why we celebrate the day of the book. Look for information and tell me.

ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES

Students of 3rd of ESO during an hour of "desdoblament" have elaborated some posters of the most important countries in which English is an oficial language.They are doing tnis term a project on English Speaking Countries and they have made these posters as a complementary activity.Here you have the results!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

From the 29th to the 5th of April we'll be on holidays!!! Enjoy yourself and relax, but bear in mind that when we come come it will be our last term, the last exams and the decisive marks. So be ready for that! Please I'd like you to comment on your holidays here! Send me some photos and some comments about what you'll be doing this Easter. I am going to spend some days at home and from Friday to Monday I'll go to les Angles to ski with my family. I wish you the best!
